FAW Football Leaders Award (Level 1)

The FAW Football Leaders Award (Level 1) Course is the first step for all passionate coaches to take. It's the basics and fundamentals one requires to begin their journey in coaching.

The progression of license starts from this Course and moves accordingly to the FAW C certificate (Level 2), License B, License A, and License PRO. The courses will be carried out by Wales FAW certified instructors who will be in every step of the way to give the best experience and knowledge to the candidates.

The course gives candidates the knowledge and experience on how to approach and plan a session for junior players. The course covers the 4 key aspects of football: Psychological, Technical, Physical, and Social. The FAW course will teach coaches how to approach a session and cover all 4 elements of football.

An online certificate from the Wales FAW will be issued at the end of the course. After achieving the FAW Football Leaders Award (Level 1), candidates will become Qualified Football Coaches.

How to get the FAW Football Leaders Award (level 1)

Candidates must be 16+ years old. Regardless of their experience as a coach will complete an online application form with The Football Academy (TFA) Dubai, through their website: https://www.tfauae.com/fa-level-1, then follow the steps. Due to the limited spaces, the course will be on a first come first serve basis. The candidates will only be accepted upon making a deposit which will be 50%.

After completing the online application a meeting with TFA Coach where the application and the candidate is assessed through his knowledge, experience, and expectations. The assessment will allow the instructors to have a clear vision of the character and personality of the candidates to ensure a proper approach to the feedback and comments.

Is the level 1 online or in person?

The level 1 can be taken either in person and/or online, meaning that all coaches interested in taking the course in person can visit our office and enjoy live, in-person sessions with UEFA-qualified instructors.

Coaches who do not live in Dubai or prefer to attend online, can connect to the session through a laptop and/or cell phone, being able to ask questions live, interact with coaches and the instructors in real time. Our UEFA qualified instructors will assess, teach, and answer all your questions, whether they are in person or online.

Salary Expectations

For a beginner in Coaching and a holder of the FAW Football Leaders Award (level 1) license, the salary would range from 6 to 8k AED per month. The salary is prone to increase depending on the situation of the academy, the level of development, and experience in coaching.
