Being a student-athlete is a great opportunity to not only develop as an athlete, but more importantly to build a strong character and grow as a person. To assure the optimal development during college, an athlete must find the balance between school, sports and social life in order to succeed in every part of the experience. Certain traits are essential not only to succeed on the field, but also in the classroom.
We at The Football Academy are well aware of the traits necessary for success on and off the pitch, which is why we have designed a completely comprehensive and holistic approach to football. We conduct monthly Sports Psychology classes covering topics such as The Power of Positive Thinking, The Pure Will to Win, Self-Motivation and The Importance of Teamwork. Our classes often focus on the physical demands of football and we therefore discuss the importance of sports Nutrition, The Importance of Sleep, Hitting the Gym, Sports Related Injuries and adequate Stretching routines.
