“Sometimes, to move forward, you have to go back to where it all began.” That’s exactly where we stand today at The Football Academy Dubai. The chapter with the club may have closed, but in many ways, it was the opening of a new one—an opportunity to rebuild, refocus, and remind ourselves why The Football Academy Dubai exists in the first place.

For me, the priority is crystal clear: rebuilding the academy to where it truly belongs. That journey isn’t easy. Dubai is one of the most competitive football markets in the world. The investment in the sport is enormous, new academies seem to appear almost daily, and every parent has a dozen options to choose from. But what has always set The Football Academy Dubai apart is not just football—it’s the belief that football is an education.

When we relocated from JVT to Dubai South, it came at a time when challenges were already mounting. The move had a significant impact on our numbers, and it was a stark reminder of one truth about Dubai: location matters. With academies in nearly every community, many parents choose convenience over quality. That’s not something to blame—it’s human nature. But for us at The Football Academy Dubai, it was a test of resilience.

Rather than retreat, we doubled down on what we do best. We created a leaner, smarter model, starting with around 125–130 players. Growth didn’t come overnight, but it came because of one thing: retention. At The Football Academy Dubai, every child matters. We don’t see numbers on a roster—we see individuals, each with potential, each with dreams. Every child is treated as if they truly matter, and every parent is embraced as part of a family, not just a customer.

Now, in our second season in Dubai South, the signs are clear: we are rebuilding, and we are rebuilding fast. The foundations are stronger, the community is tighter, and the vision is sharper.

Success in football and in life doesn’t come from never falling. It comes from falling and learning how to rise again. As the saying goes, if you fall, make sure you fall on your back, because that way you can still look up and get back on your feet. That’s exactly what we’ve done. With a strong team behind me, The Football Academy Dubai is not just surviving; it’s thriving.

We have big plans in motion—plans that will not only restore what we had but take us further than ever before. This is about more than football.
